  1. Read the story below ''A Christian brother travelled to the UK, he disembarked from the plane to discover his international passport with 5 years visa had been stolen or missing. He complained to the officials, they tried everything they could for him. The document was not found. He was returned to Nigeria. People started shouting “Village people”. About six pastors and even the ones he knew in the UK before traveling to Nigeria all saw the hand of the enemy. This brother started moving from one pastor to the other seeking a solution to the “village people” after him. His younger sister brought him to one of our programmes He told me everything I asked him if he was a born again Christian He said yes What do you do in the UK He said he was a barber and he had a thriving practice Where do you live? He mentioned the location, he said he was sharing Accommodation with about 20 other people They all troop out to work during the day and come in late at night to sleep and troop out again Some of the guys living with him are into drug, some into fraud et. I started laughing I asked him if he had called any of those guys since he got deported He said no I asked why? He said he didn’t want everybody to know he was in a jam I said please call one of them This was in 2018 June! He had been in the UK since 1998 and only came to Nigeria in 2018 to celebrate his mother’s 70th Birthday. He placed the call, the Person that picked filled him in about a police raid that happened in their house three days after the day he was supposed to have returned to the UK The police and other agencies went to raid their house in the middle of the night and everyone was in jail. The brother couldn’t Close his mouth He was just stammering Many so called pastors are wired to pronounce negative stuff and project fear and evil If indeed God is your father, he could subject you to a minor inconvenience in order to preserve you from a huge mess! The brother’s passport was found and mailed to him in Nigeria by an air hostess He eventually married the lady last year and they are both living in the USA now. None of those “village people announcers” saw that coming! When you’re in Christ, you either walk in the light or you walk in denial of the light!''

    Nigerianism

Okay... I'm not sure if this is a phase but I totally doubt it. I've been on this path for a couple of years now. Preferring made in Nigeria or Africa to those of the rest of the world. Now, I am considering taking things a step further by being a traditionalist. You know, going back to the roots and embracing the very essence of our spiritualism before we were brainwashed by the west. It's still a thought for now but I love the idea of it especially as I do not identify with any religion -(no future plans to). We were a people and had a culture and a system that worked before the invasion and its denigration and relegation. ...and if you are thinking these modern religions are "the only way", then think again.... those sort of thoughts are proof of the traces of the inferiority brought about by colonialism.
  3. What matters to you... With respect to religion i.e. Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Universalism, Satanism or even Atheism etc... Would you date someone who is of a different belief system than yourself? What is an absolute no no if any?
  4. Sensitive subject on religion matters, proceed with caution. Lol. I will suggest that we debate amicably without putting down another's point of view. For a long time, I have felt most uncomfortable about the portion of the Bible where we are told that Mary was with child. Was consent ever given? Is it not rather disturbing the manner in which all these happened? Please share your thoughts.
  5. Media personality, Daddy Freeze has in his usual routine, come for Nigerian pastors – this time around, he says most pastors are into the work of God just because of the money involved. Freeze says Nigerian pastors left their professions because they can’t earn as much unlike in the ministry. In a video shared on Youtube, he said, “There are many fake pastors because of monetization; that pastor who cursed me is an architect, the one at BankyW’s wedding is a doctor. “Many of them are leaving profitable field because ministry is a more profitable field. “Monetization has made fake pastors come into two fold, it has made real pastors preach false messages. “Every doctrine in Nigeria has been monetized, you hear pastors say this year you will find your ‘apollos’ “Apollos in the Bible was increase in word of God not referring to sowing, Matthew 13;7 this verse speaks of seed of faith not money; those that twist this to you are thieves. There’s nothing spiritual about those criticizing me, the only spirituality in them is the ability to twist your brain. OAP Freeze also countered speaking in tongues in Nigerian Pentecostal churches, describing it as fake. He added, “Speaking in tongues in Nigeria Pentecostal churches is fake but speaking in tongues is not fake. “When speaking in tongues, you should speak in languages not in tongues that no one can understand. 1Cor 14:26-28; someone must interpret tongues…There is no speaking in tongues without an interpreter “Interpretation of tongues is missing in today’s pentecostal churches , if anyone speaks in tongues one or two should speak in tongues one at a time not multitude. That is falsehood 1Cor 14:23 is what pastors used to confuse you, they tell you tongues is an unknown language which carnal mind cannot understand. Everyone speaking in tongues in the church is false because it is a gift that everyone does not receive. “I’m a preacher that speaks from history and bible not sentiments like others; that’s why I can’t say God told me to pay titheS like they say. “I would tell you what God kept in bible not what God told me.” Do you think speaking in tongues is fake?
  6. GOVERNOR Akinwumin Ambode of Lagos State, yesterday accused religious leaders of pushing political leaders to steal by the way they patronized the politicians and other influential individuals in the society who now do anything possible to meet up with the expectation. Ambode who spoke at the annual public lecture organized by Christian Conscience, claimed religious leaders made higher demand from people in government without thinking about what they would meet such demand. Represented Commissioner for Home Affairs, Dr. Abdul-hakeem Abdul-Lateef, the governor lamented that the common man who served God diligently got no recognition while religious leaders were busy patronising political leaders. According to him: “When church and mosque want to do fund raising they will not look for people that are committed to the work of God but rather politicians and people in power whose salary is not up to N500,000 to come and launch N50 million project. This same politicians and people in power, when they came to church late, Pastor will ask congregation to stand up and clap for them whereas the poor person that came early to church nobody recognizes him or her.” Speaking on the theme, “Religion and Corruption: Strategic Direction in Fighting Corruption in Nigeria” said he had reduced the number of time he went to office as people usually besieged his office in hundreds seeking personal assistance. He said: “In my office as commissioner I see about 100 to 200 people daily that came to my office for personal assistant not something that will benefit the larger society, that is why my going to office is strategic because am tired of explaining to people that I don’t have. Corroborating him, a former Minister for Education and Convener of Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG, campaign, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, said corruption remained the greatest obstacle to Nigeria’s development and that until the problem was tackled from the source, Nigeria would not move forward. According to her: “The church which is meant to be the salt of healing has failed and this is worrisome. We are all comfortable with corruption. There is need to consider reducing opportunities for corruption because battling corruption goes beyond Christian belief. We should enforce prosecution and sanction of bad behaviours to serve as deterrent for other evil doers.” The Special guest lecturer at the Occasion, Prof. Dapo Asaju, said some of the religious leaders had commercialized religion at the detriment of the people. Asaju who is the Bishop Theologian, Church of Nigeria and Vice Chancellor, Ajayi Crowther University, said it was regrettable to see religious leaders riding N30 million car when church members had not eat a day meal. He said: “They have even go a step further to employed the service of bodyguard in the church of God. That is why when they prayed miracle doesn’t happen any longer because they are not in connection with God.” The Chief Host and Chairman, Christian Conscience Group, Mr. Enock Ajiboso, however encouraged faithful religious leaders to join political arena and make difference. 9. There’s a video currently trending on social media and it has caused quite the reaction from a lot of people. In the video, an overweight woman lies on the floor while some pastors are gathered around her, praying for “that spirit that reduces weight” to help the woman lose weight. Makeup artist turned fitness instructor Segun Gele posted the video on Instagram and wrote that “This right here is mockery in a place of worship and I think these pastors are pushing it too far”. On-Air personality Freeze also adds his two cents. He says: What a league of morons!!!–Only in Nigeria would these world class cretins pray for what healthy living, gym registration and dieting can solve.–Although God is very real, religion is nothing but an illusion, created by the oppressed to subdue the harshness of their reality!–To call for the abolition of the illusion necessitates creating conditions that don’t require the illusions.–Ever wondered what the correlation between religion and poverty is? The poorer a nation, the more the requirement for religion to create that illusion that acts as an escape from the reality of the situation of the oppressed.–Why on earth will a clown offer you an apron to protect you from attacks, while they themselves have bullet proof cars and armed body guards to protect them from those same attacks?–Some people thrive from ensuring these illusions are kept alive, thus are at the epicenter of the problem itself.–Remove those making a living off the illusion (Yahoo boy Pastors) and those creating the conditions that require the illusions (corrupt politicians) and our society will heal itself like magic, in no time.–The failure to act now, is extremely perilous! ~FRZ The YouTube page is the official page for a Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministries (CMDM) in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. 10. Septuagenarian General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has declared that he can kill anyone who tampers with his beloved wife, Pastor (Mrs) Foluke Adeboye, for love. Delivering his message on ‘Activating Your Destiny’ at the Throne of Grace parish and National Headquarters of RCCG, Ebutte Meta, Lagos on Sunday, monitored on Facebook from Warri, the revered man of God said 50 years after his wedding, he was still in honey moon with his heartthrob. Explaining how he would execute the ‘killing,’ Daddy G.O, as he’s fondly called, said he would not do it physically, but report such fellow to his Father (God) and the person would pass on in his or her sleep. His words: “Be ready to lay down your life for your partner if you’re truly in love. My wife doesn’t like me saying this: “You can slap me; you can lie against me, you can criticise me, it doesn’t bother me, but touch my wife, I’ll kill you! “I want the world to hear. They’ll say if I killed they’ll arrest me, jail me, that is if I killed with cutlass or gun. If you tamper with my wife, I will talk to my Daddy and you’ll sleep and will not wake.” The declaration was greeted with thunderous cheers from the worshippers who were there in their thousands to worship and celebrate with the couple. Adeboye was in golden colour suit while his wife was also clad in a golden colour attire to mark the golden jubilee of their marriage at the RCCG headquarters on Sunday. He enjoined youths, who are ripe for marriage, not no marry for money, beauty and influence, which, he said, were ephemeral, but for love, which he said, was God and eternal. He, however, perhaps jocularly added that if they wanted to marry for influence, they should opt for pastors whose influence, he claimed, endures if they remained in Christ Jesus. “If you want to marry a person who’s influential, marry a pastor. If he does not fall into sin, he’ll remain a pastor forever,” he noted. Pastor Adeboye, whose marriage clocks 50 on September 8, 2017, reiterated the need for youths to marry for love as he did. Giving reminiscences on his early days in marriage, he said: “Marry for love. It’ll endure. I’ve been married for 50 years and still on honey moon. I was the poorest among those lurking around the girl I married. “One was a lawyer who had a car; I had nothing. But I told the girl that of you marry me, whatever I am, wherever I ever become will be yours.” He said his wife cherished his 100 per cent honesty and opted for him in marriage, adding that although things were initially hard, because they were in love, they pulled through. Adeboye also informed the gathering that he graduated from the university in June and got married in September of 1967 after he had barely collected two months salary from the teaching job he got. According to him, after their wedding that was conducted without a cake which they could not afford, they immediately resumed work the following working day where they were teaching without going for honey moon. “I was not a Christian, but i was an incurable optimist. We struggled over ‘pomo’ as I usually hear me say, but today if we want to eat a cow now, God will provide. “After our wedding in September 8,1967, we faced challenges. The baby came 1968. It was tough. We were happy because we were in love. I had no car, no house, a married into a rented room and a parlour. We have stories to tell. If you marry for love, the reason it will last is because God is love, ” he enthused. Adeboye went to substantiate why love matters above other considerations. He described love as fire as contained in Hebrews 12:29 and that the fire must be tended to keep it burning. He identified what keeps love burning between couples as gifts, no matter how little. “You must continue to tend the fire., meaning: no matter how little, you must constantly give gifts to your partner. If it’s given in love, it’ll be appreciated. “When two people are in love, they exchange gifts. Always open your mouth to say to your partner “I love you, ” the holiness preacher urged couples. He added that his love for his wife is so intense that each time he travelled abroad or anywhere for assignments, he would never do without putting a call across to his wife at least once in a day, just as he’s always eager to return to the waiting arms if his wife and home. The couple, after the message, were led to cut their 50th wedding anniversary cake and a Thanksgiving followed as they danced with their children and grandchildren before the altar where they were prayed for. The man of God prayed for the healing of marriages on trials, youths who are about making choices and every other attendee at the service. Source
  11. LET ME MAKE IT CLEAR FOR CHURCH FOLK: WHO I LOVE IS NOT A PHASE Written by Kendal S Turner “Let me make something clear for the people in the back who don’t know me or my history. I have “struggled” for the lack of a better word with my sexuality since I was in kindergarten. Yes I said kindergarten. However because of “church folk” and society I tried to live up to y’alls standards for as long as I could. I have ALWAYS been attracted to the same sex. ALWAYS. So this is not a phase. I’m not a freak just trying something new. This has been ME. I knew this BEFORE I was molested at 8. I Knew Who I was Before I was Raped I knew this BEFORE I was raped. I knew this BEFORE I got married twice trying to “do what’s right” so trust me. I’ve been on a 40 day fast. I’ve been in every prayer line. I know all of the scriptures. I have broken men’s hearts trying to pretend to be sexually attracted to them to the point to where I couldn’t even make love to my own damn husband so don’t come at me with no scripture or what the lord told you to tell me. Where were you when I was getting hit upside my head and kicked out half naked in a hail storm by a man who claimed to love me? Where were you when my cousins stuck their penises in me before I even know what “hard” meant! I Knew Who I was When I was Married to a Man Where were you when I cried in the shower after sleeping with my husband because I felt violated every damn time? Where were you when I tried to commit suicide because I was preaching in churches trying to encourage women to fly like an eagle and I knew I was living a lie. Not even being my own authentic self but trying to encourage broken women to do so! Huh? I’ll wait….. my sons love me. My son told me Moma you should have done this a long time ago. Now it’s a shame a child has to convince his mother to be who she is because he loves me no matter what. I Know Who I Am When I Pray to God You can’t pray a prayer for me that I’ve already prayed. So listen and listen good. I am delivered. I am free. I’m free from you and the manipulation that the church has had over me for years! When I tried to kill myself God himself spoke to ME and said “Kendal there is nothing wrong with you” so believe me when I say, I have no fear of death. I have no fear of where I’m going when I pass. I know who GOD IS, I talk to him DAILY! So pray for yourself in your unhappy ass marriage. Pray for your kids with they bad ass cause me and my house are just fine. If you don’t like my lifestyle and the fact that I walk, talk and teach love then you can delete yourself. I promise to God I won’t notice” source
  12. A pastor is under fire for a horrific remark about same-sex marriage. Logan Robertson is a pastor at Westcity Bible Baptist Church in Auckland, New Zealand. In a clip from a sermon uploaded to the church’s YouTube channel, he makes a shocking jibe about gay couples. He says: “Someone emailed me, asking, what’s your view on homo marriage? “My view on homo marriage is that the Bible never mentions it! Source
