DELTA State government officials have uncovered a building in Warri which they claim is a homosexual centre run by a cult called Yansh where young teenage men are offered as prostitutes to prospective clients.

Breaking the news while delivering his Easter address, Delta State governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, said the centre was used by young men between the ages of 16, 17 and 18 years old. Delivering the address at the First Baptist Church in Warri, Governor Uduaghan said there was need for parents to wake up to the challenges of today’s society as a lot of crimes are committed by their children.

Governor Uduaghan added: “These youths who engage in criminal activities are our children. Right here in Delta State, at Enerhen Junction, we just discovered that we have children between 15, 16, 17 and 18 years old who rent rooms around Enerhen Junction and at night men come out to look for them.

"These are boys and men come to sleep with them in their rooms and these boys belong to a cult called Yansh. We used to know about female harlots but we now have male harlots and unfortunately they are young boys but there is not much the government can do but there is much we can do as parents.”

He also used the occasion to urge Nigerians to stay vigilant as a result of the various insecurity challenges facing the country and called on Christians to use the Easter period to have rethink. In addition, Governor Uduaghan called on parents to be up and doing by monitoring the movement and activities of their children, blaming the high level of criminality in the society on the inability of most parents to play their roles effectively.

Governor Uduaghan vowed that his government would make the state uncomfortable for trouble makers who are intent on destabilising the peace. He joined the congregation at the church in praying for peace.
