Administrators FlyJ Posted December 7, 2015 Administrators Share Posted December 7, 2015 Three-time African champions Super Eagles have slid down the latest FIFA rankings by seven places following the latest table released on Thursday. And by the detail Nigeria remain outside the top 10 teams in Africa. FIFA’s latest table has Nigeria slipping to 66th in the world and they are now 14th in Africa. The 2013 African champions were 59th in the November rankings. Nigeria had also dropped seven places from 52nd to 59th last month, making it a cumulative drop of 14 places in just two months. The Eagles played just two matches in November, a goalless away draw with Swaziland and a 2-0 home win against the same team. There was no change at the top of the African rankings with Ivory Coast at number one. Also in the top 10 Tunisia took over the fifth place from Senegal. Egypt moved up from 11th to ninth in the list of African teams for December. Although the Pharaohs remained at 57th on the global list, they rose two places in the continental rankings because DR Congo dropped eight places from 52nd to 60th in the world. Belgium, Argentina and Spain make up the top three in the world, with world champions Germany slipping two places to fourth.
