Vina, I think the point is this: she stated her sexuality, and you made it uncomfortable by publicly rejecting her. From that point it felt personal.

We all try not to be unwelcoming of other genders and sexualities but it is a work in progress (side eyes the transphobic people on NL, you know yourself).

But I hope this is a learning moment for all of us. Spread love first, second, third.

Let's open our eyes/ears to listen and learn from others. And by God, let us try to make everyone feel welcome.
