Relationships are the same, that’s true, but there some differences between straight and lesbian relationships. On one hand, there are fun things about being in a lesbian relationship. On the other hand, we’re also sure there are pluses on the other side of the team. It’s not that we’re comparing ourselves, but there are still people out there wondering how these two are different. Let’s enlighten those who don’t know how lesbian relationships are different from the straight ones. Straight And Lesbian Relationships Difference #1: Celebrity Status We’re serious about this. When two women walk into a restaurant and have a nice quiet dinner, the whole place stops to take a look at us. This is especially more intense when said two women walk in hand in hand. Who else do you know can stop activity like that– except celebrities? Okay, seriously now, we do get a lot more attention than straight couples. If in the past these are more on the negative side, this time people are cheering us on for being out and proud. So there. That’s a celebrity status in a way. Straight And Lesbian Relationships Difference #2: Periodic Table When you’re in a straight relationship, this means only one of you has their menstrual periods. This also means at least three days in a month, you can’t have sex unless you want it all bloody. With lesbian relationships, two people have their periods and sometimes they don’t happen at the same time. Ergo, in a lesbian relationship there are at least six days of no sexual contact. It’s a good thing then sometimes we like to just cuddle, especially when we’re feeling hormonal. Straight And Lesbian Relationships Difference #3: One Night Stands When they said that women are from Venus, what they meant was while men have a tendency to have sex on the brain, women are more inclined towards intimacy. More women would prefer to have sex when the objective is long term. So in a straight relationship, there is one partner who would want to have sex with you, period. In a lesbian relationship, on the other hand, there are more chances that both partners would want to get to know each other better before going to bed together. No surprise here that one-night stands in a lesbian relationship have a tendency to turn into relationships. Straight And Lesbian Relationships Difference #4: Birth Control Lesbian relationships have a higher savings on their account. Why? We don’t need a budget for birth control pills and condoms. What for when we have no use for them. At all. Wonderful, isn’t it? Straight And Lesbian Relationship Difference #5: Pregnancies Because of the above, we don’t have to deal with unwanted pregnancies and indulge in abortion. Not unless we woke up one day and same-sex relations can now produce babies. Of course, this is a news feature and not a science fiction literature. There’s no chance of that ever happening. So, truth be told, lesbian relationships are the ultimate pro-life, pro-choice unions. We have a choice not to have children, and we have a choice to adopt instead. What makes us all the same? New research has revealed that mosquitoes prey on their victims due to a number of factors. They also say that the species of mosquitoes you are exposed to can determine whether or not you are going to be bitten. So, why do mosquitoes bite you? These reasons… • Beer. Some studies reveal that mosquitoes are attracted to beer drinkers, though this is only relevant to one type of mosquito. • Type O Blood. If you have Type O blood running through your veins, you’re prime candidate for mosquito bites! Research published in the Journal of Medical Entomology found that mosquitoes were 83.3 percent more likely to land on type O carriers than type A carriers. Again, this appears to apply to one particular species of mosquito. • Pregnancy. In 2003, an experiment was conducted in eastern Sudan to see if mosquitoes were more attracted to pregnant women than non-pregnant women. The results, published on NCBI, found that out of the 18 women, the nine pregnant women attracted significantly more mosquitoes, especially ones that were carrying malaria. This could be because of raised temperature and how women’s body odour changes during pregnancy. Again, only one species of mosquito is attracted to pregnant women. • Gender. Interestingly, only female mosquitoes bite, as the nutritional value of blood helps develop their eggs. They also seem to prefer to bite more men, but women are more badly affected by a bite. Women reportedly get bigger and itchy bites, but men are more likely to be attacked. • Genes. There is also the belief that mosquitoes could be attracted to you because of your genetic make-up. An indicator of this could be if you have a bad reaction to a bite, such as the size of the bite or the intensity of the itchiness. • Carbon dioxide. This one is quite hard to avoid, as your body naturally produces around 2.3 pounds of carbon dioxide a day, which is breathed out through your lungs. Well, you have to breathe, so you can’t avoid mosquito bites by withholding your breath. Good news, though: Mosquitoes tend to prefer people who emit more than the standard levels of carbon dioxide—a situation that is common among pregnant women and overweight people. • Lactic acid. Mosquitoes love the lactic acid that the body produces when you work out. The acid is released as you sweat, making you a prime target, especially if you are hot and tired. • Bacteria. If you have lots of different bacteria on your skin, mosquitoes will be less attracted to you. The chemicals that build up your natural smell could repel them. A study published in PLOS showed that a group of people with a more diverse colony of bacteria were less likely to attract mosquitoes, than those with less. Source

The “Kedike” singer explained that while there is nothing wrong with wanting to get married, one also needs to wait on the Lord while worshiping him and ministering to him. Some of you do not understand the benefits of being single, while you’re not married, you ought to be involved with God. At 5am you can lie in bed and pray in the spirit, you can lie on the floor and worship, you can lie in the bath, praising and worshipping for as long as you want. The Lord wants you to come home at the end of the day and say ‘Lord, I went through so much today, I couldn’t wait to get home to worship you, I’m glad you’re here’. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be married, just take care of the Lord while you’re waiting, minister to Him and worship Him. You’re in a position and posture of prayer. The Lord has become your necessary food. There is a special relationship between God and the single believer. God has a special anointing for the woman who is free to seek Him. Her prayer life should explode in miracles. Do you agree ladies?

Okereke who was born to Roman Catholic Igbo Nigerian parents in Liverpool launched his own solo musical career in 2010 after a successful musical career with his band Roc party. His solo career saw him release two albums ‘The boxer’ [2010], ‘Trick’ [2014], as well as three EPs ‘The Hunter’ [2011] Heartbreaker [2013] and ‘Candy Flip’ [2014]. In March 2010, Okereke came out as gay in a BUTT magazine article, with hopes that it will inspire young people and let them know that it’s ok to be uniquely different. “The reason I’m doing it is whenever I go out, I’m always stopped by young, gay kids who say it’s really refreshing and encouraging to see someone like me being out in a relatively mainstream band. “If I’d have had someone saying it’s okay to be you when I was a teenager, I’d probably be a very different person. That is why I’m doing this now, after years of not doing it. It’s good to show that gays come in all shapes and sizes.” He said. Okereke’s said one of his new songs titled ‘Yemaya’ from his anticipated album ‘Fatherland’ was inspired by the moment when he and his partner decided to have their first child together. “In the West African Yoruba religion, Yemaya is the mother goddess of the ocean, she is kinda the patron saint of pregnant women and fertility. According to myth, when her waters broke, it caused a great flood creating rivers and streams and the first mortal humans were created from her womb. When I knew we were having a baby she started to appear in my thoughts and dreams a fair bit.”
