Administrators FlyJ Posted June 24, 2020 Administrators Share Posted June 24, 2020 Members of the LGBTQ community responded to the tweets by stating that the employer's action is acceptable since gay people are rejected for jobs because of their sexuality. Some added that they only hire queer people. However, some asked if they aren't also engaging in the same discrimination they say they suffer due to their sexual orientation. Hawken Posted June 24, 2020 Share Posted June 24, 2020 I am torn. The queer community is plagued by unemployment and so i will applaud any institution that only hires queers. Personally, when i need something done, i always look for a queer person to hire because more money in our pockets means more freedom and resources to challenge the system that oppresses us.
