The Elephants have waited 23 years to get their hands on the Africa Cup of Nations once again. Didier Drogba has bowed out of the international game but the Ivory Coast have found a way of winning the competition. Ivory Coast won their second Africa Cup of Nations title on penalties after a goalless draw with Ghana. Goalkeeper Boubacar Barry saved from his opposite number and then scored the winning spot-kick to seal a repeat of the 1992 final between the sides. Barry, only playing because of injury to Sylvain Gbohouo, had seemed to be suffering from cramp in the shoot-out.
