Lavive
Support this kickstarter The Boy from Mushin is a feature length documentary, telling the story of Bisi Alimi, a man who put his life on the line when he chose to come out as gay live on Nigerian national television. If you can't back this then sharing will do! It is important to bring light to the struggles of the whole spectrum of LGBT nigerians. Suavity
If she's the one that really said all this, then she have a running mouth that have landed her into trouble then.
Lavive
@teejay, The above link is to a fundraiser for the documentary which hasn't been completed yet. @suavity It's important to highlight this gay mans visibility. Have you heard of the Stonewall riots in New York City? There were anti-gay laws instituted in the 1950s,60s and police raided a gay establishment. But the LGBT people fought back, held demonstrations which is "widely considered to constitute the single most important event leading to the gay liberation movement and the modern fight for LGBT rights in the United States." Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stonewall_riots There are a lot of Africans who say if they lived abroad they could be openly gay. Do you know why it's easier to be openly gay abroad? It's because of these ppl with a "running mouth" that bring forth the cause for change. If Africa had more ppl like Bisi Alimi that could die for a cause, we would not be stuck in a third world bracket. I know Bisi has been discussed on this forum previously but I am just bringing a link to the aforementioned documentary project.
