Moderators kimi Posted June 12, 2016 Moderators Share Posted June 12, 2016 At least 20 people have been killed and at least 42 injured after a shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, police say. Orlando Police said officers entered the Pulse Club about three hours after the shooting unfolded - and killed the attacker, who had taken hostages. They called it an act of terrorism, but said they did not yet know if it was domestic or international. Relatives have been gathering at local hospitals desperate for news. A man who had been inside the club earlier described a situation of chaos outside as the number of casualties became apparent. "There were just bodies everywhere," Christopher Hansen said. "In the parking lot, they were tagging them - red, yellow - so they knew who to help first and who not help first. Pants down, shirts cut off, they had to find the bullets. Just blood everywhere." Footage from the scene showed dozens of emergency vehicles at the scene and people being treated on the pavements. Some of the injured were reportedly brought to the Orlando Regional Medical Center in police pick-ups. One woman said she had received a text message and phone call from her daughter inside the club, who said she had been shot in the arm. Some witnesses said they heard as many as 40-50 gunshots as the incident unfolded. More than 100 people were reported to have been enjoying a Latin-themed night in the club, which calls itself the hottest gay bar in the city, when the attack began. Ricardo Negron Almodovar told BBC News that the shooter opened fire at around 02:00 local time (06:00 GMT), as the club night was coming to a close. "We heard rapid fire go off. In the room I was in, people went down to the floor. I wasn't able to see the shooter or people get hurt. "At some point, there was a brief pause, and a group of us got up and went to the exit that leads to the patio area outside. We found an exit and after that... I just ran." Moderators kimi Posted June 13, 2016 Author Moderators Share Posted June 13, 2016 ...and so today, I cried. Why is there so much hate in the world. Why do humans love to play God. When has my freedom to love become another's duty to sabotage. It hurts on a personal level especially as these actions are only just an outward expression of the thoughts of a million others in the world. I can't understand such hate; perhaps it is not to be understood. God is love and this fact cuts across all religions. If only people would act a fraction like God, the world would be a safer place. :(/>
ChazBee
Too many things going wrong in the world at the same time. shame on the world, shame on those who victimize others because of their emotional and mental choices. shame on those who play God, who dish out judgment on His behalf. Shame on you Mateen, those guys did you no harm yet you took lives you didnt give. God, i know thats not your judgment, am certain if your hated this community like they want us to believe we all would have been dead. But you love us, You gat us, You made us this way. Keep us safe from those who want us gone, who wanna hurt us and who hate us for who we choose to love
