“I have no problems with homosexuals”– Nigerian on-air personality says

The young indigenous rapper and a popular voice at Cool Fm Lagos state talked about his Nigerian gay business partner and the experience he had working with him. He said this on the new episode of Hot Topics with Latasha Ngwube while reacting to the unfortunate regarding the arrest of the 42-suspected homosexual men that were recently arraigned in court by the Lagos state government.

Read his comments below;

“I have no problems with Homosexuals. An openly homosexual business partner here paid one of the biggest and most successful money I have made in my life to me in Nigeria. I have no problem with them but this is the law of the land. You have to be much smarter. You can’t just come and say I am gay and that law is a wrong law because you are still arrestable by the laws of the land. When I saw that story, I first had a problem with the Lagos state police.

When I now heard that there were 12 minors involved, I said this is a child-s*x p****graphy ring and something deeper is happening here and on that account, they should all be arrested, there should be an investigation done to find out if the kids were really defiled and when they have found this out, they should properly rehabilitate those children. Something out of the ordinary is going on. But apart from that, what two grown men decide to do with themselves in their private place or corner that is entirely up to them but the law of the land still states this is illegal”.

So true. For me, it is better to be hiding in the closet than to be free and be in prison.

But wait oo, is it that he doesn't have any problem with homosexuality 'cause an openly homosexual business partner paid him one of the biggest and most successful money he has made in his life? Or he generally  doesn't have any problem with homosexuality? I don't get this part.

Maybe i'm Cynical coz right now I'm about to analyze his comment. In order to avoid a lengthy write, i won't quote his messages. I'll just address them as put respectively. Caution: i'll be adding a lot of conjunctions in order to connect the dots.

1a. So he has no problem with Homosexuals because his highest paid job came from one. What if he had no business with no homosexual? Would he have had a problem with them?

b. Did he expect a homosexual to be broke or not be able to pay for a job done for him?

c. Why is it news that a homosexual paid him? Did he expect that a homosexual lacks integrity?

2a. That something is illegal doesn't make it right (his dumb ass won't know this of course)

2ai. 'Speak only when your words are more beautiful than silence'(again, no way he could've known this) If he isn't pro choice he should have just shut the f***k up. So MI Abaga has no knowledge of the law when he stood up for the community in his interview.

2b. Isn't it funny that he said an OPENLY gay Person is going about doing businesses? He didn't stop for a minute to think why that OPENLY gay person is not behind bars but these SUSPECTED gay persons have being arraigned. Isn't this money factor? In essence he's saying that laws should only be broken by the rich but observed by the poor. Now is that accurate!!?

2c. ~Minor + Adult + Homosexual acts= Child pornography. Thus; Arrests must be made. Minor should be evaluated and converted back to 'straightness' via any means and the adult sent to prison for whatever reasons the law decides to call it.

 2ci. ~Minor + Adult + Heterosexual acts= Victim blaming(she must have dressed inappropriately, she seduced him, girls of nowadays they mature too early one can never tell their age, it wasn't forceful na she consented he sha didn't know her age that was why) ohh holdup! It's the work of the devil. Punishment= Inconclusive  (as na work of the devil)

4a. "What 2 grown men decide to do in their PRIVATE place or CORNER" My people Issa homophobe! Why corner? How would it affect you if it was public? Oga we're not fighting to remain in a corner. We're in a corner already. You think we stupid? We fight to remain closeted? Illiterate gan!!

Attempt at patronizing the LGBTQ = Failed!

Note: every point is debatable.
